The Consortium of Catholic Academies elected a new president, Vincent Spadoni. Vincent (pictured below with the CCA principals) has been a leader in the Archdiocese for more than two decades serving as principal of St. Ambrose in Cheverly for 5 years and St. Elizabeth School in Rockville for 14 years. He was elected President of the Archdiocesan Principals’ Association and is a frequent presenter and emcee for the National Catholic Educational Association. We look forward to working with him!

Last but not least, on August 1st, St. Thomas More Catholic Academybecame the first Catholic school in the District to offer STEM through Robotics using the VEX IQ platform. The scholars started learning how to develop a research project, maintain an engineering notebook, build a robot to perform specific tasks using a remote control, and how to program the robot to perform the same tasks.
