As we embark on another exciting academic year, we would like to take this opportunity to update you on the latest happenings in our schools. Thank you for your continued support and generosity!
While we hope our administrators and staff took some much-needed time to spend with their families, travel, and recharge for the 2019/2020 school year, there were some exciting things that happened over the summer!
St. Thomas More’s principal Gerald Smith attended Harvard University’s Urban School Leadership Seminar in June. He learned some amazing things to bring back to St. Thomas More this school year!
In July, three educators from the Sacred Heart School - Mr. Landrigan, Ms. K, and Ms. Bogosian - spent a week teaching other educators how to use art to promote critical thinking in the classroom. This work was done in collaboration with the National Gallery of Art and Harvard’s Project Zero research. Videos of these amazing educators and students can be found on the NGA’s YouTube page and in a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) through the NGA.
